One of my best friends in the entire world is my photographer, Samantha Medlin.
Whenever I'm with Sam I feel as if the world is a little bit brighter and ready for anything we throw at it. Sam makes me feel like the brightest sunset. I feel as if God put her in my life to open up a part of confidence and adventure that has been tucked away for a very long time.
One of (the many) things I love about Sam is that she is always up for adventure, and June 12th was no exception. I think we had planned to go meet for dinner that day, honestly, I can't remember. It was hot and we both agreed to dress cute, but right before I left I decided to change into my new favorite 'Life is Good' tee that I picked up from Goodwill.
BEST. DECISION. EVER.
After dinner, (we ate at Tokyo) Sam & I decided that the adventure wasn't over. WE NEEDED MORE. So we loaded up in her cute lil' red car and headed our way to Scoops, which is the best ice cream place ever... Just saying.
... But then I saw it. The flag. The flag that would change my instagram forever. Not only instagram, but maybe even my life.
I know what you're thinking. "Brittany, you are crazy. How can a flag change your life?"
BUT YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS FLAG!!!!!
On the side of an old builiding in Monre, Georiga lies a red, white, and blue flag that had me falling in love from first glance. Y'all already know how much I love America, SO A PICTURE BESIDE AN #1 AMERICAN SYMBOL IS A MUST.
I begged Samantha to pull over. There was no way that I was going to let her drive one more foot without me getting a picture in front of what could possibly be the best wall I have ever seen in my whole life. BUT LIKE A GOOD FRIEND THAT SHE IS, SHE DID INDEED PULL OVER. #ItsAWin
GIGGLE AFTER GIGGLE, Sam took my favorite picture that has ever existed. It's my favorite. It's my profile picture, contact image for most people, its hung on my wall, and its the image on my return labels. Literally, I love it. So if you're reading this Sam, thank you. I love you.
... SO ON TO SCOOPS WE WENT.
We ate ice cream. I obviously got a new flavor. It was Cotton Candy, and on a scale of 1-10, I would rate it a 5 because it was so pretty, but tasted so bad. (this is my personal opinion ONLY ON THE FLAVOR. Scoops is amazing)
Overall, this day is one of my favorite summer memories of this year. Sam always brings out the best in me and I am so excited to see where the rest of this summer takes us!
(ps: someone tell me why Sam and I never get pictures TOGETHER?????)
