This is probably one of the most frequently asked question in DMs, and once I changed my feed, the messages started flowing in like crazy. As promised, I will be filming a YouTube video as well as this blog post just sharing how I edit my photos.
I first want to start out with how I used to edit my photos. This is how I filtered them for literal years! As far as I have been on Instagram I have used this same look. It is super easy, free, and it makes your photos POP with color!!
This is how my Instagram appeared before I changed my editing system.
This recipe is simple, and most of you probably already have the app. The name of the software I use is VSCO and the filter is C1. I love this filter because it is simple, and it edits your photos with a really natural, yet fun, color! Here are some of my favorite images edited with C1!
This is the current way that I edit my photos...
I now use Lightroom instead of VSCO. I personally like the simplicity of VSCO more, but I love all the tools on Lightroom. The way I edit my photos now is not free unfortunately, but can be achieved if you do your research. I am currently using the ASPYN OVARD PRESETS. These presets can be purchased here, and they are a very simplistic way to edit your photos. If I could go back in time and save my $50, I would. That is my honest opinion. Like I mentioned before, YouTube and Pinterest has some amazing FREE presets, you just have to take time to dig for them. I personally love the Aspen Ovard Presets, but keep in mind that there are so many more out there! So find your style!
Here are links to other presets I love as well:
The TK.ONE PRESET (free!)
THE CADZN PRESETS
and lastly, the ROSE GOLD PRESET PACK
Also check ETSY for presets. They are a more inexpensive option for the same look!
All of these preset packs are wonderful! I love them all! Even though they require money (except for one), I think it is a good way to bring your photos from drag to FAB! If you want a cheaper alternative, go to YouTube and type in "how to edit your Instagram photos with Lightroom." That is what I did and it gave me a better option without spending money! (I wish I would've known that before I bought the Aspen Ovard ones...)
Hopefully I was able to answer all of your questions about my editing process! If you have any more leave them in the comments down below or message me!
